The story of Kingtech

As the entire Graphics sector evolved to stay on the cutting edge of industry demands, printing equipment supply business Kingtech Australia has gone all out to reinvent itself.

Since its inception 25 years ago, the company has evolved from a 100% used offset machinery importing up to 12 colour large offset presses from Europe and running a full overhaul workshop, to become a 'new digital' finishing equipment supplier selling their own KTM badged brand built by hand picked OEM factories.
With 39 years of printing industry experience and a broad industry knowledge of print production and finishing under his belt, owner Clyde King is well equipped to steer the company into new waters.

"I started my apprenticeship as an offset printer in Melbourne and ran presses for a number of years and then moved into capital equipment sales working for AM International selling small offset," Clyde explains.
He then worked as a rep, selling print - a period in his working career which he describes as “ an educational experience" as it helped him to empathise with the pressures print company owners must regularly face and to understand how critical timely support is.
"Many in capital equipment sales and support today have no idea of this critical point and cause their clients a lot of grief. We know better and pull out all stops if a machine is down. We treat any serious machine issue as an emergency because, to the owner, it is!" he adds.
Clyde then went on to work for the Currie Group as a rep and was later promoted to the position of Queensland State Manager before starting Kingtech with his wife Helen.
"Kingtech was a way for me to offer my experience, technical skills,  sales and customer support experience to the industry and to specifically focus on the used machinery market," he says.
It was not always easy, as he and Helen had a young family at the time, but the company succeeded in selling a lot of good machinery.
"We stuck to our motto to 'deliver what was promised' - which was certainly not a universal principal in the used machinery sector of the industry," states Clyde.
Integrity has clearly paid off, and today, Kingtech offers a broad range of new and used machinery to the industry Australia wide.
"For the digital sector we supply a large range of  affordable guillotines ranging in size from 360 – 800mm that match the German brands, hand and suction fed Scorers, Creaser /Folders, Auto trimmers and Card cutters, Perforators, Booklet makers, Laminators, Paper Folding machines, Perfect Binders, Wiro Binders, Round cornering, with many more in the pipeline," says Clyde.
Kingtech still sources late model pre-owned presses (both locally and offshore) for commercial printers. "We also offer the full range of finishing equipment as well like used Horizon Booklet Lines/Folders /Binders,  and supply brand new very high quality Euro standard Paper Guillotines from 78-92-115-137 up  to three meters wide, Die cutters, Laminators, Coaters, Perfect Binders, Folders and 3K trimmers at a fraction of the cost of the big name brands without sacrificing performance.
In addition, Kingtech also offers a full range of technical services and provides warranty support with local stocked parts, using the very best technicians hand picked for each project.
"All technicians used by us are a trusted team we have used for many years. In addition and if required, we will arrange full factory moves - dismantling, packing, transportation, installation and commissioning with training," he concludes.
